Hi guys and welcome back to Week 13 of my blog (we are almost at the finish line!) Let's get into this week's drink..
As a loyal Starbucks and Dunkin coffee lover, I often overlook many other fast food or chain restaurants for their coffee. However, this past weekend I was driving with my parents and they wanted to stop at McDonald's for a pick-me-up drink while we were driving home. I was scrolling through the beverages section on McDonald's app on my mom's phone, and noticed that they had a few options for coffee. My first thought was 'Wow I didn't know McDonald's had coffee', since I usually only go to McDonald's for an occasional late night snack, and my second thought was 'This would be great for my blog."
I decided on grabbing an Iced French Vanilla Coffee to try out, as that was the closest order I could find on the app that is the most similar to what I usually get at Dunkin or Starbucks. I have to say that the drink shocked me, as I was not expecting to like it as much as I did! The coffee had a great overall taste to it, and just the right amount of sweetness and flavor that I typically like. I have to admit that I was not expecting the coffee to be that good, since McDonald's isn't typically known for their always accurate or super reliable service. I was definitely pleasantly surprised with McDonald's coffee and the price that I paid for it (around $2.50 I believe), which is an amazing price compared to most other coffee places.
Overall, if you are looking for an inexpensive, convenient, and fast coffee I would definitely recommend trying out McDonalds! They also have other espresso drinks like lattes, macchiatos, cappuccinos, and frappes if regular coffee is not your thing. I rate this drink a 9.5/10!

I love that you gave mcdonald's coffee a try! It’s always a pleasant surprise when a place you wouldn’t expect has something that actually hits the spot. I’m also a huge fan of dunkin and starbucks, but I’ve never thought about mcdonald's coffee too. It's nice to know they’ve got some solid options at a great price. I’ll definitely have to check out the iced french vanilla coffee the next time I’m there! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I feel like McDonald's coffee needs more hype and deserves recognition. I always get this drink whenever I go to McDonald's. The fact that it's also really cheap compare to the other coffees is top-tier.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE a good Mcdonald's coffee. I only get it when I make it to breakfast time (which isn't very often) but sometimes it is what you need when you need it! OH! And I highly suggest caramel drizzle!

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I didn’t know McDonald’s had coffee either. I finally tried a coffee from Starbucks this week for the first time, and it was good, but the price is actually high. So I guess I chose the perfect week to read your blog again, because whenever I get a chance, McDonald’s is where I’m getting my next coffee.
Also, your 9.5 out of 10 has built up high expectations, so you’ve got some serious responsibility here…

I am so glad that I'm not that only one that genuinely enjoys the coffee from Mcdonalds. I feel like it's a sin to but I really enjoy their caramel iced coffees more than I'd like to admit. It's the perfect blend of bitter and sweet, and somehow just has a distinct taste that gets you hooked compared to Dunkin and Starbucks. I'm not gonna call it the holy grail of coffee, but it's so good when you want to enjoy a simple iced coffee.
