Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog for week 3! If you're new here, I've dedicated this blog to sharing the different coffee and beverage orders that I try each week, along with my review of them. This is something that I already do pretty often, and my friends are usually the people that influence me to try new things, so I thought that turning this idea into my blog topic would be great!
This week was a special week as Starbucks offered a very rare promotion of a free tall sized hot or iced coffee on Monday the 10th. Starbucks is known to sell very pricey beverages, so them offering a completely free drink to customers who have their app is a super rare occasion that could not be passed up.
Personally, I like my coffees to be fairly basic. I usually don't order anything too crazy or add in many different ingredients. For this coffee, I placed a mobile order and got an iced coffee with almond milk and 3 pumps of classic syrup. I find coffee from Starbucks to be pretty strong and not as sweet as coffee from Dunkin or coffee made from home, so I did have to add about half of a Sweet n' Low sugar packet to my coffee once I got home.
If you don't like sweet coffee than I would recommend getting something similar to this order. I chose to add almond milk in mine because it does have a slightly sweeter tase. I believe that whole milk is also used to make coffee sweeter. However, if you don't mind the 'coffee taste' in coffee, than I would stick to oat milk, or no milk at all. Overall, I would rate this coffee a 7/10. I give it this rating because it gets points for being completely free because of the Starbucks promo, and because it had a pretty good taste. However, it loses a few points since I didn't find it to be sweet enough for me and had to add in sugar of my own at home. Thank you for reading all about this week's beverage, and make sure to stay tuned for more new drink recipes and recommendations!

How to order:
Ask for an iced coffee with 3 pumps of classic syrup and almond milk.
Reading "almond milk" reminded me of my favorite coffee. Usually my family drinks Hazelnut coffee at home, but occasionally Dad buys Amaretto flavored coffee beans. Amaretto is typically an Italian almond-based liqueur. I wasn't sure about the taste the first time I tried it, but it was the sort of strange uncertainty where you have to try it again to determine whether you like it or hate it. I love it now. I think it tastes divine, and it doesn't hurt that when it's brewing the entire house smells delicious.
